Every month Matalan contact 4 bloggers to take part in a themed style challenge. Last month they got in touch with me to join in on the autumnal theme. We each had £50 to spend on an outfit that had to be head to toe from Matalan (of course) and I decided to go for in store vouchers, rather than online.
I had spotted a red midi skirt online that I wanted, but unfortunately I couldn’t find it in store. So I went for a pair of tan suede effect shorts, red velvet peeptoe heels and a cream satin kimono blouse. My inspiration was the many colours of a dying leaf. I am trying not to use smiley or winking faces now, but a winky face would have gone here.
I spotted a pile of leaves I wanted to sit on and throw in the air as I think I do a lot of posey photo’s. I just wanted to show you that I do have a bit of a personality (sometimes). The trouble is I have the most arrogant DSLR in the universe, whenever I want to take something quickly, it decides to tell me it is ‘busy’ and the moment has gone. In this case my photographer (mother) was trying to take the photo, while I was throwing leaves up in the air and ended up with no beautiful leaf throwing photo, but a bunch of crappy out-takes. Its like my camera is telling me “no you look like a penis, just stand there and pose woman”.
