I was actually meant to post about this Dorothy Perkins event a couple of weeks ago, but the images went walkabouts and then reappeared.
After the Next AW12 press day and before the Danilo Gabrielli AW12 launch party, Annie and I trotted along to Arcadia HQ for afternoon cocktails at the Dorothy Perkins & Herbal Essences high summer event. The brands had teamed together to showcase their summer fashion and hair trends.
Herbal Essences brand ambassador Ben Cooke was available to tousle guests softly with three summer looks. He took one look at my thick, long mane and suggested we do a neat little up do. I felt like Cousin It that day walking around in 30 degree heat, so I gladly went with his suggestion.
I feel like Dorothy Perkins has changed a lot the last couple of years. If you had asked me to describe the brand 5 years ago, I would have said it was like the frumpy older sister of Topshop. Now I have either turned into that frumpy older person, or Dorothy Perkins has had a revamp, I think it is the latter (I hope). I have shopped there quite a few times within the last year. My favorite ankle boots that were my main footwear choice on my recent trip to New York are from the high street brand.
