KTZ Autumn/Winter 2013 At LFW

KTZ AW13 was crazy, kooky, cool!  It was one of the other shows I went to photograph on Friday.  I actually had a seated ticket for this one, but I always like to go and squeeze in with the photographers. Not sure if anyone in the seated area would appreciate my big ass lens in their face.

I love this photo directly below, I like where the model has positioned her hand,  with the long wavy hair behind her and the zombie like expression on her face! Love the skirt and the hat.  Not sure if I would be brave enough for gold boots though.

I felt so uncool in the queue to get in this show with my tweed dropped waist dress. Next to me were graphic print bomber jackets, embellished face masks, multicoloured hair and neon-light kicks!  I didn’t worry for too long though when I spotted Mark Francis from Made in Chelsea (i.e the poshest man in Britain) sat in front row.  People seem to think I am posh, well until I open my mouth that is!

The AW13 collection was inspired by the power of tarot, in particular the 22 ‘Major Arcana‘ a suit of twenty-two cards. It was mixed with the usual KTZ urban signature street style.  Everything was exaggerated. From huge peaked baseball caps to over-sized – over-sized coats.

The make-up was by Alex Byrne using Shu Uemura.  The KTZ AW13 woman wouldn’t wear a lot of make-up. It would be a modern version of the delicateness seen in the Renaissance period.  There should be no pink as that would be too romantic for the collection.  It was all about highlighting and contouring the face! no mascara was used either, just a quick curl.

OMG I WANT EVERYTHING IN THESE PICTURES!!! What a cool melange of influences! I used to be obsessed with Tarot when I was in high school, I even made an entire tarot deck in AP art for my portfolio where I hand-painted every single card… They really are a work of art and translate beautifully into avant-garde outfits! Your shots are amazing as always. The first pic is so cool — it looks like a still from an editorial shoot! Those boots are ridiculously awesome, btw. If they weren’t thigh-highs, I would totally rock them myself, haha! 🙂

Oh wow, you really are a creative individual aren’t you?! I am really inspired by the tarot theme. Spotted a tarot tee in Zara, I might have to get 🙂 x

Just seen this post! LOVE everything especially those golden boots. When is it ok to walk the streets of Leeds in glittery gold thigh highs? Haha!

And Mark Francis. My God. Bet he had an aneurysm just looking at some of these outfits.

I must get down to London next time. MUST!

My latest post ** one Of A Kind LBD **

    Hope you’re well Kylie…

In my mind I would wear them, in reality it scares me haha. I am too safe sometimes.

I am good, hope you are too 🙂 xx
