Yesterday me and Eva went along to an Apartment Spring Break event in Primrose Hill – a post on that next week! I really liked Eva’s little outfit and everyone was complimenting her; so I thought I would do a kids street style post with her balloon… that she lost 5 minutes later. There was pure grief in her eyes as the balloon left her grip and she watched it ascend into the sky. A women walked past and told her the balloon was on its way to balloon heaven, which I am not sure made the situation better. What is it with kids and balloons? I used to draw faces on them and pretend they were people… makes me think of Tom Hanks and Wilson. I wasn’t a lonely child.
I shop a lot for Eva in the boys section of stores. I find most of the trendy stuff that is mini to what I would wear, you can only find for boys. Like these boys espadrilles are exactly what I wanted for Eva. You can’t just find black or navy things for girls, they are generally light or pastel colours – Or overly embellished with flowers or covered in polka dots.
Eva is getting quite vocal in what she likes to wear lately. She likes to pick out things to wear herself. Although most of the time I will ask If I can pick one thing to change, for example she will pick out stripy trousers and a floral top. I know clashing prints is a trend, but its not my bag baby!
