I wore this outfit for day 1 LFW and yep…still in black. I met Luke at Waterloo and we did an Eva hand-over. Can you see her little feet poking out from the Boris Bikes? People must of wondered what on earth this miserable looking women was doing with her child sitting down behind some bikes and her posing away. It will be funny to show them to Eva when she is older.
I really wanted a duster coat, I love the slouchyness of them and the fact they seem to go with everything. Plus you can wear really really short skirts and you can bend over without worrying. On my search I spotted this one from Boohoo and bought straight away. I was really torn between that and the pink one I previously saw in their lookbook. It’s a bit more lightweight than I expected. It’s fine for the weather now and layering for Autumn, but I will have to hunt for a thicker one for winter.
Also a new Topshop bag purchase you may have spotted in my slouchy tailoring post . I was after a sturdy cross-body bag in black that was small, but would just about fit my camera in with the 50mm lens, my phone and bank cards. I find when I am going around London all day with a big bag, I fill it up and get backache. Its not meant to be folded out like that, but there is more room like this and I quite like that Céline style. What sold me was the hardware on the bottom, that keeps the bag upright.
I am coming around to wearing trainers. I have already been a skate shoes fan (in black) for a while. I am still not keen on the bulky Nike type trainers, I feel feel a bit frumpy. Loving the more slimline styles though.
