Conveniently located near Putney Station on Upper Richmond Road is the newly reopened, El Patron. Last night was their press launch party and we headed down for some Mexican street food and tequila shots. I always love when things are in South West London, easiest place in London for me to get to from Surrey.
I’m not really one for fancy restaurants and I am so done with just going out drinking now. Places like El Patron that are more of a relaxed eating/drinking type of establishment are right up my street.
El Patron is a late night Mexican street food bar set over two floors. Upstairs there are plenty of tables to sit and eat with friends. Then you can head downstairs to the bar area which boasts 60 different types of tequilas. If you are not up for the shots… the well stocked bar features a frozen cocktail machine and other Mexican themed cocktails the bar staff will shake together.
There is eating and drinking Monday to Thursday with their house band playing on Fridays and Saturdays their resident DJ. I can’t really comment on the food too much as I didn’t get to try very much. I will definitely be returning as a customer as I LOVE Mexican food. I had a quick look at the reviews on Trip Advisor and so far they are either excellent or very good.
