Now this outfit is a bit out there for me and will be very marmite for others. Showing to a few friends beforehand it was very 50/50 on love and hate. I file this under my ‘fashun twat’ category. Actually… it kind of reminds me of yeezy. It’s a compromise between wanting to get dressed up for a night out, but not really wanting to take off your cosy knitwear.
I am loving Lavish Alice lately and they are winning on the knitted co-ords! Been looking on their site daily at the new in pieces.
I’ve decided I want to get a bit more creative with blogging, rather than the standing in the middle of a road wearing an outfit. I feel like those days of personal style are gone with the increase of popularity of Instagram. Why look at a blog with a zillion different angles of an outfit with no content substance, when you can see the outfit on the bloggers Instagram.
My profession is portrait photography (you can check out my site here). Because my clients usually have a location in mind where they want to shoot, I don’t get much creative control of the photographs. I want to make my blog a little creative outlet again. When I have an outfit I want to shoot, then really think about what backdrop would compliment it.
In this case I thought the 70s brutalist National Theatre with its grey concrete would work well against the lavender colour of the co-ord. I would love to shoot a lookbook here with a minimalist brand. With a proper model though, not me! I prefer to be behind the camera!
