Imagine being 4 & 7, taken into Claire’s Accessories, asked to grab a basket and pick whatever you liked! As you can guess there was two very excited little girls. Lucky Eva was very kindly asked by Claire’s, if she would like a little Xmas shopping trip with a friend. They each had £40 vouchers to spend in the Kingston branch Sunday morning.Read more
This little monster with the angel face has been keeping me busy the last couple of weeks. Its the summer holidays as every parent across the land will be groaning. I will take her out and keep her busy in the hope when we get home she will let me get on with things…but no. Every 5 minutes. Mummy, mummy, mummy.
Finally my mother has come to the rescue and is taking her overnight tonight. While we was waiting I thought I would take a couple of snaps of her outfit. It looks like quite a casual boho chic look. I also experimented with a little messy boho updo. No way I could do it on my hair. Almost tempted to hack a chunk of my hair off so I can do more things with it.
I love nature and being outdoors – although nature doesn’t love me with my atrocious hay fever this year. I decided to look on the interweb for pretty nature spots in Surrey. I don’t know how I came across it, but about 40 minutes from where I live there is this pond with a sandy bank in Frensham Common.
I called up my little sister Lottie and asked if she would like to come over with her Basset Hound Barney for a little afternoon out. I let Eva’s nursery know she wasn’t coming in and off we went. Please note this is not a style post…I look like the dogs dinner
Last week Next hosted their 3rd kidswear blogger event, all of which myself and Eva have attended. You can read the Next SS12 kidswear event & the Next AW12 kidswear event posts if you are interested. Its amazing how much Eva has grown since the first one, especially her hair. Also I noticed Eva is wearing what all the ladies are wearing now… A pinafore dress and a stripy top. Maybe she is a trend setter!
Since these boots from Unisa arrived before Christmas, Eva and I have lived in them! Eva even asked to sleep in them. They are so beautifully made and what Eva would describe as “her cosy new boots“. Eva has inherited her love of shoes from me. This isn’t something I have imposed on her at all! She has obviously seen me and my insanely happy moments when I have a new pair of babies to add to my collection!
It has finally all quietened down from my hectic Christmas. My mother has flu so I met my siblings (my mums side) in a pub in Leatherhead on Christmas Eve while drooling over my Canon 6D that I had just picked up before. We spent Christmas morning at home, just myself Luke and Eva opening presents before we made our way over to Horsham.
It was my sisters 18th birthday also so we went out for a birthday/Christmas meal (my dads side of the family). We stayed in a hotel in Horsham before rushing back home in the morning to get the house ready for Lukes family and friends on Boxing day which turned into a two day affair….shattered.
Friday was the most special day in the world…. My little Eva Rae’s 3rd birthday. It feels like only yesterday that we brought this little angel home from the hospital. Now she is a little girl, not even a toddler anymore!
A couple of weeks ago me and Eva headed up to Banbury to the beautiful Cromwell farm estate for the Next AW12 kids event. This is the second Next kids event we have attended and we were very excited as Next really do pull out all the stops.
Today has been spectacular and I am loving the sunshine, my nose and eyes have not been loving the high pollen count though. Myself, little Eva, Sam the lamb, Brown Bunny and our good friends camera and tripod took a short walk over to our local park to settle down under a tree with picnic.
last weekend was enjoyably spent at Guilfest. On the Friday I took my 2 year old daughter along to enjoy the family friendly side of the event and Saturday my husband Luke joined me for some grown-up fun. I was allowed press and photographer access so I was indeed very snap happy.. be prepared for a photo heavy post.
Happy Easter y’all. We went to Bocketts Farm on Good Friday which is literally 5 minutes around the corner from where I live (Bookham in Surrey). I recommend going if you have little people, lots of things to do. They have a little bunny town, lots of farm animals, pony rides, huge playground, trampolines, tractor rides, bouncing pillow (booo, I wanted… Read more →
I am back from a blogging break and have lots to post. I think sometimes you need some time away from something, especially when you are feeling run down and un-inspired, it happens to us all at some point. I did do a teeny bit of an update to my blog. I felt it looked rather cluttered, so I have got… Read more →
I am sure you have all had enough of looking at snow photo’s, but here are mine for good measure This isn’t just my snow photo’s but my first outing with my new camera. I had the Canon 1000d for a few years and before that I had film SLR (that was stolen in Tenerife). I actually have a film… Read more →
For a more update review check out my lapland UK 2014 write-up At the end of last week Luke surprised us with the news we was visiting Lapland UK, apparently the closest to the real thing in the UK. We stuffed bears in the elf factory, iced gingerbread in Mrs christmas’s kitchen, went ice-skating (well I didn’t, I watched from the side) and… Read more →
