We spent half a day in Monaco and I can’t say I am overly keen on visiting again. The buildings around the Princes Palace shown below was very pretty. The rest of Monte Carlo was extremely busy, much more so than either Cannes or Nice. The views of the city were breathtaking and was my favourite part of the visit Every single… Read more →
This post is basically about me being a big old hypocrite. This time last year the thought of wearing trainers for anything other than exercise filled me with horror. Now don’t get me wrong… When people started wearing them as footwear of choice in a chic way, I loved them – on them! For me personally, I thought they would… Read more →
We were staying in a little tiny resort on the island of Syros, so we decided to go back and check out the port town we arrived in from the Mykonos ferry – Hermoupolis. It’s a non-tourist, proper Greek working town. I knew if I wore the usual holiday get-up, we would stick out like a sore thumb! Well… apart from being incredibly pale… Read more →
We moved to the sticks about 3 years ago in north Surrey. If we want to enjoy the countryside around us, it pays to have suitable footwear! Today we went for a Sunday walk around the Horsley Park estate. I thought it was time for another mother/daughter style post and to put our Sorel boots to good use. Read more →
We have had our Victoria Plimsolls* for a little while now and they have been roughed up like a good pair of plimsolls or sneakers should be! Especially my pair. I haven’t been one in recent years to wear such comfortable footwear and I have really taken to them. I wore them to a couple of events and familiar faces commented how they have never seen me flat on the ground before. I do love my chunky heels usually.
Its times for another mother/daughter style post! I keep meaning to do more, but as you can imagine a 3 year old gets quite restless after a few minutes. We are both very lucky girlies as Hunter got in touch and asked if I would like to pick a pair of boots each. So rather than posing for photos with a restless Eva I thought it would be best to actually put the boots to good use and take photos naturally around Painshill Park in Cobham near where I live.
I have been putting off posting these. I could barely bring myself to look at them while sitting here shivering and chattering my teeth! Remind me again why I live in this country?! I posted the Bohemian Style outfit post earlier this week, so you may know that I recently returned home from a weeks holiday in Fuerteventura. It might look like I only wore the below Jarlo dress the whole holiday, but its because most of the photos I took were on the same day.
Since these boots from Unisa arrived before Christmas, Eva and I have lived in them! Eva even asked to sleep in them. They are so beautifully made and what Eva would describe as “her cosy new boots“. Eva has inherited her love of shoes from me. This isn’t something I have imposed on her at all! She has obviously seen me and my insanely happy moments when I have a new pair of babies to add to my collection!
It has finally all quietened down from my hectic Christmas. My mother has flu so I met my siblings (my mums side) in a pub in Leatherhead on Christmas Eve while drooling over my Canon 6D that I had just picked up before. We spent Christmas morning at home, just myself Luke and Eva opening presents before we made our way over to Horsham.
It was my sisters 18th birthday also so we went out for a birthday/Christmas meal (my dads side of the family). We stayed in a hotel in Horsham before rushing back home in the morning to get the house ready for Lukes family and friends on Boxing day which turned into a two day affair….shattered.
Today has been spectacular and I am loving the sunshine, my nose and eyes have not been loving the high pollen count though. Myself, little Eva, Sam the lamb, Brown Bunny and our good friends camera and tripod took a short walk over to our local park to settle down under a tree with picnic.
Last weekend unfortunately I couldn’t attend a photo shoot organised by Rouge PR. The bloggers invited had to style a look based around the theme ‘21st Century pin-up‘. I do love a retro or vintage inspired look, so I did get thinking how I would have interpreted it.
My go to outfit of the summer is a maxi dress or skirt, its how I feel most comfortable. As you may be aware I also have a huge obsession for floral print. Add these two things together and this Floral maxi dress from Jarlo is my perfect summer dress. Read more →
